Check Your Papers! Just approved by the Pinto Horse Association of America Inc. - Any horse, pony or miniature, currently registered with an approved outcross registry, with documented Pinto characteristics on the outcross papers, is eligible for registry with the PtHA. In order to simplify the registration process for qualified Pintos, the PtHA registration department will begin evaluating applicants who are already registered with an approved outcross registry and who have documented color on the outcross papers. Documented color such as “Pinto markings,” “belly spots,” or “high leg white” will serve as qualification for PtHA registry in lieu of the required 4 square cumulative inches, provided that all other qualifications (i.e. appaloosa bloodline, mule or draft characteristics restrictions) are met. Undocumented animals and animals with no color documented on their outcross papers will still be required to meet the current PtHA color requirements. Examples include any horse accepted into the regular registry of the American Paint Horse Association, any miniature with registration papers that document "Pinto," or any horse registered with the Arabian Horse Association with a belly spot or high leg white documented on the registration papers. If in doubt, please contact the PtHA Registration Department with any questions, registration@pinto.org or (405) 491-0111.

Mountain View Paint Horse Ranch in Prescott Valley, Arizona breeds, trains, shows and sells high quality performance American Paint Horses. Founded in 2003, the ranch is designed to provide young, show quality performance horses to the competitors registered with the American Paint Horse Association (APHA), American Pinto Horse Association (ApHA) and National Snaffle Bit Association (NSBA). Customers for our horses will be trainers and exhibitors that are looking for high quality horses to compete for APHA, ApHA and NSBA World Championships, Futurities and Regional Shows. Mountain View Paint Horse ranch will provide up to 15 champion bred foals / year. The ranch carries a band of high quality broodmares bred themselves from APHA World Champions or with otherwise high quality bloodlines. Many of the mares acquired by the ranch were outstanding show mares in their own day as well, including one APHA World Champion, an APHA Champion and one double Register of Merit (ROM) Western Pleasure mare. The ranch also stands its own stallions. The initial stallion roster includes three stallions that were raised by the ranch. The 1st is a well bred western pleasure stallion with two foals on the ground. The 2nd is a highly marketable Hunter Under Saddle stallion who finished 4th at the APHA World Show in 2007 in the 3 Year Old Hunter Under Saddle Challenge. The 3rd is an all around stallion by I Got Charisma (from the World Champion Red Charisma bloodline). This stallion finished 3rd at the 2007 APHA World Show in the 2 Year Old Hunter Under Saddle class, 4th at the NSBA World Show in Trail and Reserve Champion at the 2009 APHA Fall Championship Show in the 3-4 YO HUS Slot Class.
